For the shrimp skewers, defrost and dry the shrimp. Squeeze half of the limes. Rinse the other lime while hot and cut into slices.

Wash, dry and chop the basil. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. Mix salt, lime juice, pepper, olive oil, basil and garlic to a vinaigrette and marinate the shrimp in it for about 3 to 4 hours.

Thread lime wedges alternately with shrimp onto skewers and grill on both sides. (Alternatively, fry briefly and hotly on all sides in a hot pan with a little olive oil).

Serve shrimp skewers with garlic butter.

Preparation Tip:

The shrimp skewers go well with leaf salad with avocado slices and orange fillets!
