Cook pasta in enough salted water until al dente, strain and drain.

Melt the butter. Mix in flour, pour in milk, bring to a boil.

Mix butter and egg yolks until creamy. Remove the béchamel sauce from the heat and stir in the egg mixture.

Then add whipped cream, season with pepper, salt and nutmeg. Add ham cubes and noodles to the sauce. Whip egg whites with salt until stiff and stir in.

Grease a gratin dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour in pasta mixture, mix bread crumbs and cheese and sprinkle on top.

Add butter flakes and bake at 170 to 190 °C for 30 to 40 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

If desired, sprinkle with shaved cheese at the table.
