The peaches are scalded with boiling hot water and quenched when the skin is easy to peel off. Cut the fruit in half and remove the seeds.

Cook the vanilla pudding with the milk according to the instructions on the package. Stir the orange liqueur and the egg yolks into the finished custard. Chop the hazelnuts and add them to the pudding as well. Now spread the pudding into a shallow ovenproof dish. Spread the peach halves on top of the pudding. Sprinkle the sugar evenly on top.

Caramelize in the heated oven on the second rack from the top at 250 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes. You can also use the broiler. Bring to the table hot.

Important: Do not put the sugar on the fruit until you put the pan in the oven, otherwise it will dissolve and will not be able to caramelize.
