Try this delicious cake recipe:
Stir through crème fraîche and powdered sugar, fold in cherry brandy, lemon zest and salt. Next, fold in the sifted flour. Chill the dough for one night. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to 1/2cm thickness. Cover and rest for about 10 min. Drain the amarena cherries. Cut out round cookies (4 cm ø) and brush with beaten egg yolk. Cut the cherries in half and place on the cookies. Sprinkle with hail sugar. Bake in the heated oven on the middle rack.
Baking time: approx. 15-20 min. per baking tray
Electric oven: 175-200 degrees
gas stove: level 2-3 convection oven: 150-175 °C
